  I'm a regular at this hotel and have been for a good three years. It has a great atmosphere and a low staff turnover. The rooms are generally good and comfortable and facilities are great. It's owned by the Thwaite's brewery and has (for a hotel) a great range of beers.
  
  When it comes to the restaurant, great food, great service... But... It's not as good as it was. It's one of the few hotels that I've stayed in whose restaurant I would recommend, but they used to do really imaginative and good value daily specials, which when you stay regularly, stop you getting bored, plus the prices have increased. It's difficult to get a starter + main for under £30.
  
  It's good. Two years ago - 5 stars, no argument. Today it's 4...
  
  Bring back the daily specials. Your chefs are talented. Give them some freedom.
